What Platform Is Best For My Blog? WordPress vs Blogger

I get asked this question a lot...

WordPress.org vs. WordPress.com vs. Blogger

The easiest way to explain the different blog platforms is to compare them to renting a home vs. home ownership.

Most people would never dream of spending a ton of time, effort and money on improvements to a home they are renting, right?

Well, it's pretty much the same thing with blogging.

The only way to blog in my opinion is to control your own online real estate through a self-hosted WordPress blog.

That means no WordPress.com, Blogger/Blogspot or other hosted platforms.

These hosted platforms (while free) have rules and restrictions that allow the platform owner to take away your blog at any time...in most cases without any reasonable explanation.

So "Self-Hosted WordPress Blog" is pretty much a no-brainer, the problem comes when you try to set one up.

Of course, most folks (me included) are not really very tech-savvy, so I had my team create a series of tutorials to help you get started with your own blog.
